Que Quakers Hill NSW
Client: Skyton Developments
Matt Brindley – Project Director for Kann Finch Group
The Que apartments are located on a hectare site which was previously a motorbike training ground for the RTA, and contains remnant Cumberland Plain forest. The development consists of 300 apartments in 2 “L” shaped buildings of 5 – 8 levels with underground parking. The apartments consist of 1, 2 and 3 bed configurations. The two “L” shapes surround a 3600sqm landscaped courtyard with swimming pool and BBQ areas.
The forest area is protected as an easement but residents can use it for passive recreation. It also has pathways for non residents to cross it to gain access the local Western Sydney University Campus from Quakers Hill railway station.
The 4 frontages of the complex are long and the design philosophy was to create smaller design elements to vary the streetscape and to allow residents to easily identify their part of the building rather than be part of a homogenous repetitive façade.
The development is currently on hold.
